Introduction
This residential refurbishment in Strand, Somerset West precinct demonstrates the epitome of clever design and use of colour.
Design brief
To turn this family home in an historic building with dated furnishings, fixtures and fittings into a modern vibey sanctuary and welcoming home needed vision, imagination and skill. Additionally the space had to be divided up into two separate home offices and a space for the workshop sessions carried out by creative couple Helene (Interior Designer & Personal Stylist) & Gary (Photographer and life coach).
The challenge was to recycle and upcycle where possible to keep within a tight budget whilst ensuring the creation of a happy home, sanctuary and dedicated, inspirational workplace.
Outcome
Clever use of tiles and paint were used to demarcate individual areas of larger spaces.
Doors were sealed up, walls were knocked down and a redesign of the entire layout to improve the use of space was paramount for this project.
