Introduction
These clients from Johannesburg brought us in half way through the build of their new holiday house in Knysna on Leisure Isle to help them with the Interior Design and assist with final layouts and choice of materials.
Client brief
Our client asked us to present and deliver designs that touched on the eclectic in places with ethnic accents and to provide colour schemes for a light airy finish overall. We were to provide fabrics, paint colours, lighting options and furniture choices for the living space, bedrooms and patio area and to manage and implement the project from start to finish. The idea was to incorporate into the design a mixture of new items together with our clients own collection of fabric pieces and artifacts that she had collected on her travels.
Outcome
An extremely fun collaboration experience with our client who had wonderful ideas of her own which we worked together into the various schemes. A combination of ethic wax fabrics, nguni hide, sisal matting, textured fabrics, vibrant colours, antique furniture and bamileke tables alongside locally custom-made wooden dining tables and drinks cabinets culminated in a finished design that brought sheer joy and happy travel memories into this new home.
Client review / recommendation
Dearest Helene and Claire🪷
Firstly a BIG BIG thank you for helping me. Between you and Claire you have been, and are so excellent and patient in helping me reframe and rethink what will and won’t work with all my bits and bobs, quirks and understanding my needs.
I will never need to use another Interior Designer again, thank you ladies for your unbelievable skill – Heidi
